About EdVenture

EdVenture is an immersive camp experience in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. Designed to help families make the most of Hokkaido’s incredible green season. The week-long programs connect children and young people to new friends from around the world, learning new skills, with their family members in innovative ways. The camp takes full advantage of its location nestled between the iconic Mount Yotei and Mount Annupuri in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan.

About the Role

As an EdVenture Media Creator and Program Support,  you embody the roles of a role model, friend, mentor, and hero to fellow staff, campers, and parents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dual role involves capturing the daily moments of campers and families through film and photography
  • Will work together with our marketing team in producing a weekly “end of the week” movie showcased at the campground every Thursday night
  • Weekly edited photos for parents at the week's end.
  • Crafting an end-of-summer 2025 wrap-up promotional video for marketing purposes.

Key Qualities

  • Previous experience in working with children in an outdoor education or educational-based setting
  • Love for the outdoors and nature
  • Ability to lead or assist in various recreational activities
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Strong communication skills, working with diverse ages and skill levels from young children to adults and parents
  • Desire and ability to thrive in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and reliable
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a Japanese Working Holiday Visa or already have the legal right to work in Japan
  • Hold a valid Japanese driver's license or be eligible to obtain an International Driving Permit
  • Able to provide an up-to-date criminal record background check from the country of residence should asked to provide
  • First aid training is advantageous
  • Experience in a media-related role
  • Passion for film and photography
  • Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills such as Japanese or other languages are a plus.

Salary

  • ¥1,700 per hour
  • Mid-June until late August with the possibility of extension till the end of September.
  • Depending on customer demand and reservations, working hours can range anywhere from 8 to 40 hours per week, including weekends. You will have at least one full day off each week.  (6-8 Hours per day, up to 6 days per week)
